Custom Made in San Francisco

Join us in our showroom via a Zoom video call.

Outfitting executive travelers since 1975, Kari and I, our son Ely and five talented craftswomen make professional gear in our San Francisco studio. Rather than manufacturing our products for traditional distribution, we  customize them for you.

Tell us about type and size of the  gear you carry in your bags and the styles you prefer. We’ll help you specify the dimensions and leather and lining colors of bags as well as their materials, features and strap lengths. We can further customize your bags by hand coloring them to colors you specify. We’ll also show you how to modularize compartments and  personalize organization within your bags to manage their weight and functionality.

Visit our San Francisco showroom or make an appointment to explore our products via a video call using Zoom video conferencing. If unfamiliar with how to set up a video call, please contact us for assistance.

In addition to regular studio showroom hours weekdays and Saturdays, we offer extended hours by appointment for international video calls. Our telephone number in San Francisco is 1-415-552-3188,  Or send us an email at

  1. Stopped in to see the factory and meet the “family.” Awesome people, awesome product, awesome factory. My sons and I were very impressed. Bought a new briefcase and I am already in love with it! Thanks for the tour ELY.

  2. Recently received my 18x12x5 Espresso Deal Bag and matching mostly leather Writing Pad—they are beautiful, sturdy, well designed, and very functional! Thanks Myron, Kari, and Ely. Look forward to many years of use and ordering additional pieces in the future.

  3. Hi – I’m curious about the Natural leather Tablet Flapover Writing Pad. But I’m confused regarding its full functionality. Also, what are the price points.

I’ve purchased from you before and am the proud owner of one of your deal bags. It was a brown and black leather custom.

  4. Dear Glaser Designs:

You made a modified brief case for my some years ago. It is starting to look a bit worn and I am wondering whether I could send it to you for a refurbishing? I’ve lost one of the leather zipper pulls and the leather could use some professional attention. Please advise.

  5. Do you refurbish old bags ? My briefcase has seen much valiant wear. I do not wish to replace this aged companion but one strap needs replacement at least, a clean up would not be bad either. Thanks, RjjS

  6. Years ago (8-10), there was an article in a airline magazine about Glaser Designs. I made it a point to get by their location on one of my trips to the bay area. I was treated like a family member that they hadn’t seen in years. Gave me a tour of the shop and pointed out, how the process worked. Not only do they provide a beautiful product, they are beautiful people. Continued success!
I will see you again soon. Thanks again for the way you made me feel.

My Over the shoulder carry-on bag you made for me 20+ years ago now has 2 million miles in the air can it and God knows how many miles on the ground. I regularly get compliments from flight attendants on what a great looking bag it is. Lots of use and miles have taken their toll on its finish only for the best. It looks better and better with age! You guys are great!
    Best regards,
